Hello! I'm Lucy Ragan
I am a doula working around South London and Surrey, bringing my Catholic faith to women during the pregnancy journey to create a safe and grace-filled space for all the family as it changes to welcome a new baby. I completed my doula training with Conscious Birthing and love attending births.
I am mother to five, mostly adult, children and have plenty of lived experience of birth and parenting.
I am a qualified and experienced social worker which has given me some very useful skills for supporting births; the ability to quickly assess a situation, to advocate for those in need of the services of other professionals and to quickly create a good working relationship, the ability to listen and empower when needed but all tempered by wisdom and humility gathered over the years!
I am a Christian, more precisely Catholic, and whilst I am happy to work with those of any faith or none, if you are looking for a Christian prayer and faith journey alongside your birth journey, I may be the women for the job!
